07 Aug Mom & Kid Campout At Sophie James Winery
We were thrilled to spend a weekend in July with In Good Company, a company that focuses on connecting entrepreneurial women and mothers, and other friends for a mama-and-me slumber party. Fresh air, stargazing and crazy kid energy abounded. 2,360 ft high atop Sonoma Mountain at Sophie James Winery, over 40 mothers and their kiddos were treated to uninterrupted time together for crafts (we loved the Kid Made Modern beading kits), group story time with The Little Feminist Book Club, pool hangs, and one hell of a sleepover. We were also fortunate to have LONNY Magazine there to capture photos and share a fun recap online (check it out).
We set up 23 of our Meriwether Tents for the ultimate kid-friendly slumber party, outfitted with rugs, pillows and beds to make things super comfortable. Our Amelia Tents were perfect for mid-afternoon craft time, accessorized with all the lounge essentials. Meanwhile, we enjoyed delicious wine from Sophie James and made our own psychedelic shirts and pillowcases from Brooklinen, with natural dye from our friend Lisa of Millroad Studio. Mamas and kiddos were hooked up with Re-Kanken by Fjallraven backpack stocked full of goodies.
We can’t wait to do it again soon – if you’re interested in joining us, send us an email and we will make sure you get on the mailing list. Oh and kids are great and all, but we also have plans for a ladies only retreat next year. So please reach out with interest for that as well!
