Kelsey Sheofsky, Co-Founder
Kelsey plans and designs. Her five year stint as Creative Director for Alison Events in San Francisco gave her a firm foundation in destination event planning. Her love for camping started with yearly family trips to the Sonoma Coast and continues with group excursions to the Santa Cruz Mountains every winter. Kelsey camps for the late afternoon nature hikes, trivial pursuit tournaments, grilled cheese sandwiches, river swims, and waking up with the birds.

Mike Sheofsky, Co-Founder
Mike works with his hands. With a background in construction and custom furniture fabrication, Mike heads up all of Shelter Co’s tent installation projects. He has gone backpacking and camping multiple times a year since childhood and cannot function without at least a week in the wilderness every few months. Mike camps for the Irish coffee in the morning, ax throwing contests, bbq steak, off roading, and the wide open sky.

Serene Buckley, Public Relations
Serene spreads the word. She is Shelter Co.’s PR master and a camping enthusiast. Her camping adventures started at a young age with yearly multi-family trips to the American River. Serene camps for the river canoeing, s’mores competitions, redwood trees, and dirt.

Charlotte Russell, Studio Manager
Charlotte organizes and connects. She is Shelter Co.’s Studio Manager and Social Media Guru. She has a background in art and design and comes from a long line of adventurers. She was born to camp, the first time she slept through the night as a baby was in the Uncompahgre Wilderness. Charlotte camps for the wildflower crowns, the horses outside your tent, cold air in the morning, and the unplanned moments that make the best stories.

Jenny Bishop, Production Manager
Jenny is detail oriented. She is Shelter Co’s Production Manager. She makes sure all the little things falls into place. Growing up in Maine, on the doorstep of Acadia National Park, instilled in her a great love of the outdoors. Since moving to California, where outdoor adventure has no season, she has vowed to take advantage of every weekend, whether that means an epic camping adventure or just a Sunday walk on Ocean Beach. Jenny camps for the fresh air, cribbage, and quality time with great friends.

Danielle Rowe, Designer
Danielle creates. She is the founder of Brown Paper Design, an event design firm in Los Angeles and helped perfect the Shelter vision. She curates the overall look of all Shelter Co. events and is constantly on the hunt for new products to enhance the Shelter experience. Danielle loves being in the wild and gets design inspiration whenever she ventures into new untouched areas. Danielle camps for the fresh air, campfires, wildflowers, and rain boots.

Christina Martin, Event Manager
Christina produces. She is the Event Manager for the Southern California branch of Shelter Co. With a design background and a love for vintage furniture, she brings a fresh perspective to all events. Her love for camping started with a stormy adventure in Joshua Tree and she’s been hooked ever since. Christina camps for the solitude, music under the stars, the trees, and hiking with her dogs.
